Happy New Year. I hope you and your family are happy and healthy as we enter another new year.
I have been happily employed by Premier Family Medicine Associates for the past 27 years and I have served as Medical Director of the Claremont office and I am honored to have been chosen by the Board of Directors to serve as President for the next 2 years.
If you are not familiar with Premier Family Medicine Associates (PFMA), I wanted to take this opportunity to share with you about our organization. We are a single specialty Family Medicine group of over 65 primary care and urgent care providers, working at 5 PVHC sites in Claremont, La Verne, Pomona and 2 sites in Chino Hills. We provide a full spectrum of care from obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics, sports medicine, behavioral health, palliative care, and geriatrics. Many of our providers offer unique specialty procedures such as ultrasound guided injections, PRP (plasma rich protein) injections, vasectomies, circumcisions, skin/uterine biopsies, birth control device implantation & removal. We are in a partnership with Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center and also provide faculty for the teaching services to the Family Medicine Residency Program at Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center.
This past year we have seen growth as PFMA has continued to hire new providers to provide high quality medical care to our community. All of our providers have excellent training in newborn care, well child physicals, as well as adult medicine and geriatrics. Scheduling an appointment with any of our PFMA providers is easily done through our friendly patient access center at (909) 643-8968.
PFMA is constantly improving its technology to provide comprehensive services and better patient experiences. For those who have been to our PVHC urgent care centers, you would have seen signs about Clockwise. This is a scheduling program that allows patients to see wait times at each of our urgent cares and to “hold their place” in line from the comfort of home and reduce wait time at the clinic. For any of our existing patients; you can sign up for the patient portal or downloaded our free app. You can either get signed up when you come for your clinicians visit or on the web at https://www.pvhmc.org/patient-portal/ . Through the patient portal you can access your visit, labs, radiology, and be able to message your provider at any time.
