Welcome to Pomona Valley Health Rehabilitation Services

Pomona Valley Health Centers offer various medical rehabilitation services to Pomona, Claremont, Chino Hills, La Verne, and surrounding neighborhoods.

Our onsite Rehabilitation clinics are staffed with PVHMC therapists and clinical specialists dedicated to assuring optimal results for patients of all ages and abilities.

Our rehab centers provide the following services:

  • Physical Therapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Speech Therapy
  • Aquatic Therapy
  • Wound Care
  • Pediatric Rehabilitation

Here’s more about each service and how we can help improve your health or the health of a loved one.

Physical Therapy

Physical therapy is intended to be challenging, but produces many benefits, especially for older patients and patients struggling with severely limited mobility or chronic pain. Our team of physical therapists offers in-depth experience and expertise in administering effective therapies designed to restore mobility, increase muscle strength and flexibility, improve coordination, and alleviate pain.

Our physical therapists deliver compassionate, enthusiastic care. We are always careful to accommodate patients’ needs and respect their physical and emotional comfort during the rehabilitation process. Our staff includes specialists in the following fields:

  • Geriatric Physical Therapy
  • Orthopedic Physical Therapy
  • Neurological Physical Therapy
  • Pediatric Physical Therapy

Pediatric physical therapy evaluates and treats children having difficulties with age-appropriate developmental milestones, including sitting, crawling, standing, walking, running, jumping, kicking, throwing, and stair climbing.

Occupational Therapy

Patients who wish to increase their independence during recovery from a traumatic physical or emotional injury can benefit from occupational therapy. The objective of occupational therapy is to give patients the necessary tools and skills to overcome their physical or mental challenges so that they can better manage everyday tasks. Pediatric occupational therapy addresses the fundamental skills necessary for performing activities of daily living, including feeding, self-care, play skills, visual and motor tasks, social interaction, and safety awareness.

Our team of Certified Hand Therapists (CHT) and licensed occupational therapists design individualized treatment programs for every patient. Through our personalized approach, patients can accelerate the healing process and become stronger and more confident. Some of the occupational therapy programs we offer include:

  • Hand and wrist rehabilitation
  • Low-vision rehabilitation
  • Pediatric occupational therapy
  • Post-stroke rehabilitation

Aquatic Therapy

Aquatic therapy is an excellent rehabilitation strategy for patients who suffer from joint pain, hip pain, and other physical limitations that make physical exercise painful. Exercising in our temperature-controlled pool reduces the force on bones and joints by more than 50%, allowing patients to achieve a full range of motions without aggravating their symptoms. Our aquatic therapy program is led by licensed physical therapists with advanced training or certifications in aquatic therapy.

Aquatic wellness classes at Pomona Valley Rehab Centers differ from formal rehab, focusing instead on an individual’s general health and fitness. Participants are most often rehab patients who would like ongoing supervised aftercare support while transitioning to an independent fitness program. However, anyone may join as a “wellness” member after a formal clearance evaluation.

Speech Therapy

Pomona Valley Health Rehabilitation Clinics offer pediatric speech and language therapy for patients with communication disorders caused by a wide variety of developmental conditions including:

  • Autism
  • Down syndrome
  • Cerebral palsy
  • Speech delays
  • Language delays
  • Verbal apraxia
  • Fluency disorders
  • Pediatric dysphagia
  • Articulation disorders
  • Cleft palate
  • Fluency disorders

Pomona Valley Rehab Centers offer numerous speech therapy strategies and techniques to address specific disorders. Our speech and language pathologists create treatment plans that help a diverse population of patients of all ages.

  • Autoimmune wounds
  • Diabetic foot ulcers
  • Neuropathic ulcers
  • Peripheral artery disease-related ulcers
  • Surgical incision ruptures
  • Thermal and chemical burns

Therapeutic options could include referrals for:
